Step one:
# Start with a large black canvas. Make a new layer set titled Metallic Structures.
# Select the rounded rectangle tool and set the radius setting to 10px.
# In a new layer draw a #575757 round rectangle using the rounded rectangle tool. (width: 471 x height: 27)
# Add the following layer styles: Inner Shadow, Stroke.

Step two:
# In a new layer draw a black round rectangle using the rounded rectangle tool. (width: 464 x height: 21)
# Add the following layer styles: Stroke.

Step three:
# In a new layer draw a #474747 round rectangle using the rounded rectangle tool. (width: 459 x height: 17)
# Add the following layer styles: Stroke.

Step four:
# In a new layer draw a black circle using the eclipse tool. (width: 41 x height: 41)
# Add the following layer styles: Inner Glow, Stroke.

Step five:
# Duplicate the circle layer from step four and position them as shown below.

Step six:
# Merge the Metallic Structures layer-set so you end up with one layer.
# Create a new layer and select the brush tool. Set the size to medium with black foreground color.
# In random spots of the structure, on either the left or right side of the circle, brush that part to create a 3D effect.

Step seven:
# Select the rounded rectangle tool, set the radius setting to 10px.
# Add the following layer styles: Stroke.
# Set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten.

Step eight:
# Copy the top structure and position on the bottom.

Final:
# Metallic Structures.
