Step one:

# Create a new layer-set called Sleek Navigation Box..
# Start with a black background. In a new layer, draw a #1D1D1D round rectangle. Make sure the radius setting of the round rectangle tool is set to 10px.
# Add the following layer styles: Inner Shadow, Outer Glow, Satin, Gradient Overlay, Pattern Overlay, Stroke.

Step two:

# In a new layer, draw another round rectangle this time pure white.
# Set the layer’s blending mode to Darken. Your white rectangle should disappear.
# Add the following layer styles: Inner Glow, Gradient Overlay.

Step three:

# Draw black 2px line in a new layer. This line will seperate the icon from the link name.
# Add the following layer styles: Drop Shadow, Stroke.

Step four:

# Add your first navigation text. In this tutorial the font is Verdana, size 14pt, smooth and #FFFFFF.
# Add the following layer styles: Gradient Overlay, Stroke.


Step five:

# Now add an Icon to go with your first navigation link. In this tutorial the icon came from font Webdings.
# Add a Stroke layer styles.


Step six:

# Duplicate the layer-styles you created in step one to make the rest of your navigation. Set them up like you see on the picture guide.


Step seven:

# Create a new layer under all the layer-styles. This layer should be under every other layer on the layer pallette.
# Draw a round rectangle behind every navigation tab. The layer-styles will cover the entire rectangle so color does not matter.
# Add the following layer styles: Drop Shadow, Inner Glow, Gradient Overlay, Stroke.

# Sleek Navigation Box.
